January 2020 Market Update

Average Home Price Up $4000

Welcome to a new year! I took the month of December off for blogging so I wanted to catch you up with what has happened during that time.

December 2019 Market Update: The headline for this would have been that Home Prices DROPPED $1,000. That would reflect the month of November. Now that we’re in January, you can see the month of December, prices are STILL climbing.

I don’t think we’ve discussed this before, but I figured I would take a glance at historical figures for market peaks. So, February 2008 was the height of the last peak before things started crumbling. The average home price for this month was just under $217,000. Now we are up to $276,000. This is unprecedented territory for Lewis County!
