5 Big Real Estate Lies that need to be Uncovered

With all the headlines and changes in the real estate market, how do you know what or who you should believe? I have 5 real estate myths that I want to bust for you right now!

Real Estate Myth #1 – I need 20% (twenty percent) Down to Buy a Home

That’s not the case, there are so many loan types and loan options out there, some even for zero down!  You don’t know what you may be able to qualify for unless you ask the right questions and talk to the right people. I don’t even know how real estate myths like this even exist anymore. It has not been 20% since before I was a Realtor!

Real Estate Myth #2 – I’ll Never Qualify to Buy a Home

The question to ask here is: have you asked? Have you gotten a second opinion?  The right agent and lender is crucial in finding out what you qualify for, and a better agent will help steer you in the right direction!

Real Estate Myth #3 – I Need to Price My Home with Room to Negotiate

This can be a costly mistake. By hiring an experienced agent who is a Master Certified Negotiation Expert, such as myself,  you can have the peace of mind knowing that the pricing of your home, and the negotiations, are in good hands!

Real Estate Myth #4 – The Less Commission I Pay, the More I Will Make

Have you ever heard the expression “you get what you pay for?”  It’s the same with agents.  On average in the last year we have made our clients over $15,000 dollars more money than other agents in our area.  That is a significant difference!  You will pocket more with experience and marketing than with discount commissions.

Real Estate Myth #5 – All Agents are the Same

Would you say that about you and your profession? NO! That’s far from the truth!   Agents can have unique offerings that make them stand out from the crowd.  Real estate is not a hobby for our team, we are dedicated real estate professionals who utilize our unique digital marketing strategy and vast experience to help our clients get the best deal on their home, or sell for the maximum return on investment.
