It’s that time again, upcoming events May 2022! There’s so much going on this month, but we’re only going to touch the tip of the iceberg! So grab your calendar and save the dates!
In Mom We Celebrate!
Right out of the gate we have Mother’s Day! The holiday is coming early this year and we’ll be celebrating those mom figures the first weekend in May! I always have a hard time finding the perfect gift for my mom. What gift could possibly say “thank you for giving me life”? However I can tell you what it is NOT; slippers, robes, candles, cleaning supplies, or any other household item. Unless it’s a new hot tub, that household item is allowed!
Fortunately for myself and you, the community has a few ways to celebrate that special lady in our lives. Even if a hot tub isn’t in the budget this year!
First up we have the Mother’s Day Market! Jesters Auto Museum is hosting a free-market event with over 50 different vendors! What’s even better about this is that it showcases local artisans and their craft. Truly, what is a mother if not an artisan? At these events, you can find everything from handmade lip balms, art prints, wood burning, leather goods, and so much more. There’s sure to be something mom likes. When she does, you’ll whip out your wallet happy to support her and your community. Click the picture below for all the details!
MAMMA MIA!
Oh, you thought I was done with mom? Think again! I’m just kidding, kind of. The Evergreen Playhouse is putting on Mamma Mia! If you haven’t seen the beloved hit movie expressed in ABBA songs, then you’re missing out! I suggest you stop everything and go spend the next hour and fifty minutes enthralled in a witty movie about a woman and her hilarious journey to find her father, and if you don’t know who ABBA is, Does Your Mother Know?

Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys
I’ve always loved that phrase, but it doesn’t have a single thing to do with what I’m about to say, and that is THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN! This is not a drill, I repeat the Jordan World Circus, is coming to town!
Now, first of all, I didn’t even know the circus still existed, it always seemed like one of those things that people make up for movies! But it’s very real and it’s coming to Lewis County! Secondly, I wasn’t able to confirm if there will be Elephants, but I was able to confirm that it’s a two-hour show, so there’s always hope! And of course, thirdly, you know the drill, click that picture and get those details!
